“WINTER” – July 2017 – Best Month Ever?!
It’s mid-winter in Cape Town which means low tourist season, cold, rainy & wet conditions out & not a lot of running tours for us at Run Cape Town … BUT, this July has been one of our best moths ever for business – whoot!!!
Firstly, we had the lovely young Epiphany who was studying in Cape Town for a few weeks, and as she is a track-athlete-in-training she signed up for multiple, fast-paced trail & tar running tours with our speedy running guide, Andy – thank you Epiphany for your support & for braving all those early morning starts – we hope you enjoyed all your runs with us and look forward to welcoming you back to Cape Town one day!
We had wonderful trail runs this month with Corrie, who hit the ground running in Cape Town & headed up to the top of the mountain the afternoon she arrived(!), Tiansheng who explored Newlands, Jesi who headed to the top of Lion’s Head, Diedre, another speedster who hit the trails twice with Andy, enjoying some epic views, and we’ve also had a few runs in the historical city, to provide some balance to the more cultural / historical side of our tours – thank you to Caron-Lee, Ben, Ted and Kerstie for exploring our city with us…
Due to the increase in people booking trail runs with us, we have become more creative with our routes – watch this space, we have at least FOUR new routes that we will be adding to our repertoire, to give you a greater experience of some of the less well-known trails on our beautiful Table Mountain 🙂
All in all it has been a wonderful month! We hope for more rain to hydrate our extremely parched Western Cape, and look forward to many more adventures with wonderful runners from all over the world.
Thanks for reading, keep smiling & keep up the great running 🙂
– Philippa & Andy
